Job Description

Rapidly growing online service company seeks an experienced Linux Administrator. Looking for someone that wants to be challenged and is not afraid of a high growth organization.



Linux Admin -



Build, manage and administer IT's Linux environment;


Develop, maintain and improve scripts & tools that automate manual procedures;


Track & manage hardware/server inventory;


Assist with monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure systems and troubleshoot production issues;


Maintain & contribute to enterprise security model and best practices;


Assist with internal process improvements;


Develop and enhance rapid deployment procedures for Linux systems;


Build & maintain file systems and application level storage management;


Measure and optimize system performance while coordinating these efforts with other IT groups;


Project manage infrastructure initiatives and ensure proper communication, coordination & fast execution of tasks;


Adhere & contribute to internal standards including server builds, security, and production migration;


Perform major upgrades and patch management;


Provide 24/7 on call support and assist with end user support

Job Requirements

Requirements


5+ years of solid, systems administration proficiency with Linux products;


Experience with scripting languages for Linux


Demonstrated strong experience with the following technologies - Linux, Security Policies, Security Auditing and a variety of storage and backup solutions, including SAN, NAS;


A drive to proactively build and maintain rock solid enterprise systems;


Some experience with Active directory and its integration with Mac environments would be a plus;


Experience in building or participation in Disaster Recovery procedures for Linux systems and participation in Infrastructure Change Management processes is a must;


Able to thrive in fast paced and demanding environments;


Excellent written and oral communications skills, clearly communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing;
