Role Summary/Purpose
The Drilling Measurements Quality Leader will be responsible for improving customer satisfaction, for reducing cost of poor quality and for operating an efficient and continually improving Quality Management System in the Drilling Measurements product line of Downhole Technology (DT). The Quality Leader will be responsible for the compliance of the Drilling Measurements products to international Technical Regulations and Standards.

Essential Responsibilities
You will report to the Drilling Measurements Product Line Manager (and functionally to the DT Quality Leader)
Work closely with the Drilling Measurements leadership team and you will demonstrate accountability for the Product Line objectives
Develop a quality strategy that is consistent with the overall DT strategy and achieves the Product Line objectives and manage its implementation
Develop, maintain and drive the implementation of a comprehensive communication plan to support the quality strategy and establish a climate that encourages an open communication for employees to exchange ideas / suggestions
Work with the DT Quality leadership team and the GE O&G Drilling and Measurements leadership team to continue the development and implementation of an integrated DT Quality Management system that promotes best working practices in compliance with all applicable regulatory and GE Energy requirements
Work closely with the Quality Leader at the Twinsburg manufacturing plant to develop/monitor Cost of Quality indicators and ensure that the Manufacturing team and Sustaining Engineering teams drive appropriate initiatives to minimize costs and eliminate escaping defects
Ensure that the quality team has the appropriate resources and skills / expertise to provide support to these initiatives
Promote continual improvement through quality audit programs, through the assessment / screening of various sources of non-conformances and by driving the implementation or corrective actions identified through Root Cause Analysis
Lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, as measured by Net Promoter Score by acting as the focal point for major Drilling Measurements customer quality issues. These initiatives may impact the broader Downhole Technology organization and will require supporting the implementation throughout the business
Promote a Lean Six Sigma culture and work closely with Master Black Belts / Black Belts to support projects that impact the Drilling Measurements business
Contribute and lead Lean Six Sigma projects
Plan, organize, implement and direct the application of assigned human and material resources to accomplish all goals and objectives

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or office environment)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality
