Job Description

To assist Service Support in providing support to Icon SCU and other MCS installed base systems. The jobholder will be responsible for the management of the quality of implementation of the design and will ensure that the work performed is in accordance with company procedures and the requirements of ISO9001/TickIT standards.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
•Managing the development, implementation, test and maintenance of software work within the project assigned.
•Ensure allocated workscopes are produced within budget and timescale.
•Monitor allocated workscopes and report current status, estimate to complete and resource requirements to leader/supervisor.
•Assist leader/supervisor with estimates of effort and best technical solution at bid stage.
•Assist leader/supervisor to ensure members work together as a team.
•Demonstrate commitment to ASL Operating Procedure and the processes of continuous improvement.
•Ensure all work activities are in accordance with ASL procedures.
•Adhere to ASL Quality Control processes and procedures.

In addition to the duties listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by his/her Manager/lead Engineer from time to time.

Qualifications / Personal Attributes: Qualifications & Experience:

•Degree or HNC/HND with relevant industry experience
•Experience with development & programming of PLC and SCADA system
•Experience with programming languages C, C, Assembler
•Demonstrable relevant Software Engineering experience preferably within the Oil and Gas industry

Specific Training/Specialist Skills:

•Knowledge of control systems PLC, PC’s and SCADA
•Computer systems operation/configuration experience in Microsoft Operating Systems.
•IT desktop experience such as word processors, spreadsheets and databases.
•Knowledge of networking and communication protocols
•Knowledge of engineering drawings
•Understanding/experience of the oil and gas industry
