Job Description
System Administrator Role and Responsibilities:
- Provides system administration services, systems infrastructure support and implementation.
- Provide systems performance tuning and optimization and participation in systems infrastructure maintenance & refresh activities and performing ongoing monitoring and reporting of current resource utilization levels and system errors and issues.
- Provide troubleshooting, to resolve and minimize adverse impacts caused system and IT infrastructure issues and will assist in actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
- Monitoring of current security threats, vulnerabilities, risks and associated technical countermeasures and security best practices and supporting and adhering to System's compliance and information security policies, practices, procedures and handling of systems and data.
- Monitoring, maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Active Directory and supporting services including group policy, file servers, backup and hardware and software.

Qualifications
- Requires 5 - 8 years minimum experience in System Administration.
-Building, implementation and configuration of Windows servers 2003/2008, Exchange Servers, and Cisco ASA Firewalls.
- Configuration of IIS Servers. Proxy Servers, Authentication Servers, FTP Servers, DNS Servers, Cisco switches & routers.
- CommVault and LiveVault backup software or similar software.
- NAS/SAN and EMC Storage.
- Active Directory, SNMP, TCP/IP, Antivirus and Anti-malware software.
- Experience in best practices, change management and redundancy/disaster recovery.
- Group Policy including Security Templates, Security Configuration and Analysis and audit policies.
- Operating System and automated application patch management methods and tools.
- Automated server deployment methods and tools.
- Background in Information processing principles, practices and demonstrated experience with troubleshooting and resolving systems problems and errors.
- Knowledge of VPN, VLAN security and test configurations, WAN and VPN connectivity.
- A PLUS: Participation in security audits and in the presentation of controls, systems, policies and best practices
- A PLUS: Exposure to HIPAA and PCI security compliance and data privacy practices.
- Education: Requires a BS Degree in Computer Science or Related 4 year Degree or an Associated Degree with equivalent experience.
- Certification: Microsoft Certified IT Professional MCITP Certification
- A Plus: CCNA Certification
- Location: Youngstown, Ohio (in-house - no travel).
- Start Date: ASAP February 2012
- Contract-to-Hire: 3 TO 6 months
